The South Dakota School of Mines volleyball team fell Friday night to the Cougars of UCCS.
The Hardrockers fell in 4 sets, 24-26, 16-25, 25-22, 15-25.

The Cougars posted 63 kills on 151 attempts with a hitting percentage of .278. They were led by the trio of Josie Russell, Lauryn Shockley and Taylor Smith who, together, tallied over half of the Cougars kills. Setter Raelynn Edge posted a match high 40 assists.

The Hardrockers posted 43 kills on 129 kills while hitting .140. The 'Rocker offense was paced by Dana Thomson who posted 15 kills on 36 attempts, good for a .278 hitting percentage. Anna Thomas tallied a match high 13 digs for the Hardrockers in the libero position.

The Hardrockers will return to action tomorrow in Golden, Colorado as they face Colorado School of Mines at 5p.m.
