Hardrockers Shutout By Westminster College On The Road

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah ---The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team fell to the Westminster Griffins 4-0 on Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City.

 

The 'Rocker defense was unable control the Griffin offense through the first half as they posted 14 shots in half.  The Griffins scored all four of their goals in the first half. Max Bingman scored two goals in the match within the first ten minutes of action. Erik Hulbert and Kennedy Alder each chipped in a goal for the Griffins. The Griffins tallied 24 shots in the match. Goalkeeper Will Desantis posted one save on the afternoon.

 

The Hardrockers rattled off three shots in the match, one of which was on goal by Alexander Crowson. Despite a better defensive effort in the second half, the Hardrockers were unable to find the back of the Griffins net. Hardrocker goalkeeper Tyler Ring tallied 8 saves in the match.

 

The Hardrockers will return to action next Friday as they face Colorado Christian University at Sioux Park at 3pm.
