RAPID CITY, S.D. --- Some solid lessons learned for the South Dakota School of Mines Women's Volleyball team during the opening weekend of play at the Minot State Volleyball Classic in Minot, N.D., and although the win column won't show it, the Lady Hardrockers made some key improvements that will help them moving forward through the season.
The 'Rockers were very impressive in their serve and pass game --- averaging a 2.11 out of 3.0.

Senior
Mikkella Reese leads the team with 30 kills, while junior
Anna Breidt is hitting a team leading .088;
Allie Boggs notched 53 assists, followed by junior
Cassandra Williams and freshman
Emma Eckel with 27 and 26 respectively;
Alye Wagner leads the defense with 60 digs, averaging 4.00 per set.
The volleyball team will be traveling with all their players this coming weekend, which gives them tremendous depth and allows several players to step up early on in the season.
SD Mines will head to Aberdeen this weekend as they look to get some momentum for the Northern State Dacotah Bank Classic.
