RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's basketball team stood toe-to-toe with the No. 9 ranked Colorado State-Pueblo Lady ThunderWolves Friday night and held control of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup at the King Center in Rapid City.
Down 13 points heading into the fourth quarter, CSU-Pueblo battled back to sneak away with a 66-64 win over the Lady Hardrockers.
The Pack improved to  perfect 14-0, the longest winning streak in CSUP history. They remain unbeaten in RMAC games at 8-0. The upset-minded Hardrockers slipped to 5-9 (3-6 RMAC).
After being outshot .500 (20-out of 40) to .333 (16 of 48) for the first three quarters, the ThunderWolves flipped the script in the fourth. They outshot the Hardrockers .600 to .235 in the fourth and held South Dakota Mines scoreless from three-point range (0-for-5).
In the early goings, the Hardrockers could not miss in the first quarter. The home team went 8-for-12 ( .667) from the field in the first stanza to take a 19-17 lead after one.
Four early points for  CSUP in the second quarter gave the visitors a 21-19 lead with 7:53 left in the second. That would be the Pack's last lead until the fourth quarter. SD Mines retook the advantage by halftime, carrying a 30-28 lead into the break. The Wolves went 0-for 8 from beyond the arc in the first half, compared to a 5-for-10 performance from downtown by SD Mines.

CSU-Pueblo responded with a 7-0 run to start the fourth that brought them back within six. Anderson had five of these seven points. Moore netted the other bucket.
After a SD Mines bucket, the Thunderwolves answered with another 8-0 run, including a pair of 3-pointers. The Hardrockers pulled back in front by four, but CSUP would score the next 10 points to take the lead for the first time in 26 minutes of game time. The Hardrockers fought back within two, but an opportunity to win the game was thwarted at the buzzer to give CSUP the 66-64 win.
"We've seen them plenty of times now when they were down and they go off big in the fourth quarter," said Hardrocker women's basketball head coach
Ryan Larsen said. "They surprised us a little bit with their four-guard lineup, and I take a lot of blame for that; we weren't prepared for that. They got one on us there.
Individually for the Hardrockers, senior
Megan Rohrer led the way with 16 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and one assist. Freshman
Cooper Courtney added 14 markers, hitting four from behind the arc to go along with her two steals and one assist. Junior
