Hardrocker Volleyball Heads on Final Road Trip

RAPID CITY --- Hardrocker volleyball is on the road for the final time this season. The Lady 'Rockers make the trip to Chadron State for a Friday match, then down to Denver, Colo., to play Regis on Saturday. In the previous matchups against these teams the Hardrockers were not able to keep pace, losing to both teams three sets to one.

Chadron State has lost four of their past five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchups, and is a team the Lady 'Rockers will hope to get a result against as they look to pick up their first conference win. The Eagles are 5-9 in the RMAC despite their recent run of losses.

"We look forward to getting on the road to go take on Chadron and Regis," said SD Mines volleyball head coach Doug Tabbert. "[Chadron State] is a team we think we can play with."

Saturday may prove to be the tougher test for the SD Mines volleyball team. Regis is 9-6 in the RMAC and is pushing for a finish in the Top 4 in conference.

"They [Regis] struggled early, but are playing a lot better now," said Coach Tabbert, who went on to pay his respects to Regis' coach, Frank Lavrisha. "Their coach announced his retirement earlier this season, so I expect that we will be facing a very motivated team on Saturday. They will want to send him out on a good note for his last home match."

Following the match versus Regis the Lady 'Rockers will return home to host their final pair of games this season.
