RAPID CITY , S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team closed out the 2016 season on a high note Sunday morning taking on the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champions and the NCAA Div. II No. 21 raked Colorado Mesa Mavericks, 0-0, at Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City, S.D.
The Hardrockers took the conference top team to two overtimes and held off the Mavericks relentless attack for the entire 120 minutes. Colorado Mesa tallied 27 shots in the game, 15 on goal while SD Mines managed just two. The 'Rockers defense was solid and it showed with the exceptional play.

Kyle Daledovich had an outstanding game and tied the school record with 15 saves in the game. He shares the record with teammate and fellow sophomore
Jack Seifert who earned the record earlier this season against Fort Lewis College.
"Kyle did an outstanding job for the Hardrockers today," said South Dakota Mines men's soccer head coach
Jordan Kadlec. "The whole team stepped up to help. It was a solid defensive output. When a team like Colorado Mesa is that aggressive offensively it's great to see our program answer the call and defend their turf."

The Hardrockers close out the season with a 2-14-1 overall record and 2-11-1 in the conference.
