Gage Rayman is in his first year with South Dakota Mines after being hired in August of 2023 and coaches throws.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Gage Rayman was hired as an assistant coach at South Dakota Mines in 2023 and serves as the throws coach.
  • Rayman helped several athletes succeed and made a large difference in the progression of the track & field program early in his tenure. 
  • During the outdoor season, Rayman helped Jaycie Stubbs continue her dominant run at the institution as she had provisional national qualifying marks in the javelin and shot put while winning a fourth straight RMAC Championship in the javelin while setting school records in that event and the shot put.
  • Stubbs (2), Ian Cone, Cooper Stevens and Aidan Thompson all earned outdoor all-conference honors for their throws at the conference championships. 
  • Stubbs also recorded an all-conference finish at the RMAC Championships and a school record in the indoor shot put and set a national provisional qualifying mark in the event. 
  • Stevens also recorded an all-conference finish at the indoor championships, finishing sixth in the shot put. 
  • Prior to South Dakota Mines, Rayman served as an assistant coach at Saint Mary of the Woods College from 2019-2023.
  • Before spending time at Saint Mary of the Woods, Rayman was a volunteer assistant at Aberdeen Central High School prior to landing his first full-time job. 
  • Rayman competed at Norhtern State from 2013-18, graduating from the institution with a bachelor's degree in psychology while minoring in coaching.
