RAPID CITY, S.D. – On Monday and Tuesday, the men's and women's golf teams from South Dakota Mines are in action for the first time in the spring season.
The men and women are both headed to Arizona. The men will compete in the Maverick Desert Classic, hosted by Minnesota State University, and the women will compete in the SMSU Spring Invite, hosted by Southwest Minnesota State University.
The men will compete with 11 other teams at Palm Valley Golf Club. They plan to bring
Tyler White, Mata Naciqa,
Supawich Boonta,
Braydon Jones, and Alex Marakchuk to make up the lineup, while
Everette Carroll will play as an individual.
The women will play at the Wigwam Resort, and 13 teams will compete there.
Kyra Allen,
Kenzie Schroeder,
Addiley Lloyd,
Lora Ortega, and
Marin Keller will make up the women's team, with
Portia Lenczowski and
Taylor Ullen competing as individuals.

The next tournament scheduled for either team in March 23-24 as the women head to Colorado to compete in the Southern Colorado Open.
Following that is the Hardrocker Spring Invite as both the men and women host the home tournament at Arrowhead Social Club on Mar. 31 and April 1.
