RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines golf team finished up their home tournament at The Golf Club at Red Rock on Tuesday afternoon and ended it with great performances leading to a team victory and an individual victory.

The Men's A team came into round two in second place by two strokes, but they were able to stay consistent, shoot a 305 and outshoot MSU Billings by seven strokes in order to pick up the victory. The team had four top-10 finishers in
Roger Nakagawa (147, 2),
Joseph Vincent (152, T4),
Supawich Boonta (153, T6),
Jake Francis (156, T10) and were rounded out with a fifth top-20 finish with
Carson McDaniel placing 18th after a 164.

The B team comprised of
Caeden Ekroth,
Ramey Lloyd, Bradon Jones,
Reece Mayala and Benjamin Macy didn't fare as well, but improved by three strokes over round 1, shooting a 342. Mayala shot a 168, followed by Jones and
Ramey Lloyd, shooting 171 with Ekroth and Macy following with a 181 and 186.

Rianna Garland played a great two rounds, going into round two as the leader and ending it as the individual champion, shooting a 158. With the win, she became the first female golfer to win more than one individual title in the D2 Era.

As a team, the Hardrockers A Women finished 2nd, with Chadron State taking the title. Garland was joined in the top-10 by teammate
Annika Schooler (170, 7)
Mya Maxwell,
Taylor Ullen and
Julia Sabetti finished in a tie for 11, tie for 27th, and a tie for 32nd.

The B team comprised of
Lora Ortega Summer Christiansen,
Megan Alexander,
Jessalyn Shipp, and
Portia Lenczowski finished in fourth place, shooting 166, 181, 181, 187, and 189.
