CHANDLER, Ariz. --- The South Dakota Mines golf teams finished up the final round of the RMAC championships on Wednesday afternoon.

The men finished up with a 309 in round three after finishing the first round with a 304 and 308 in round two. They finished the tournament in 9th place.

Bryce Howard and
Joseph Vincent finished the tournament strong, shooting 3-over 75 and 4-over 76, and led the team overall, shooting 226 and 228 over the three days.
Roger Nakagawa also had a good performance at the tournament, finishing with a 229 with a 78 to close out his tournament.
Lane Jensen and
Jake Francis wrapped up their tournaments with an 80 and an 82.Â

The women had a great performance at the tournament, breaking a school record with a low round of 324 in the second round and matching that performance in round three, leading them to a new school record for low-36 and low 54-hole records with 648 and 984 strokes. The Women finished the tournament in 10th place.

In the final round,
Rianna Garland shot an 80, finishing in a tie for 20th place.
Annika Schooler led the women with 78 in the final round, to finish inside the top-30.
Mya Maxwell had a solid performance, shooting a 254 overall with an 83 to finish.
Julia Sabetti and
Jessalyn Shipp closed their tournaments with three-round scores of 263 and 270 with Shipp saving her best for last with an 83.

The South Dakota Mines golf teams are now off until early May when they compete at the South Central Regionals from 5/2-5/4.
