CHANDLER, Ariz. --- The South Dakota Mines golf teams finished up the first round this morning before teeing off and finishing their second rounds in the afternoon.

The men finished up with a 308 in round two after finishing the first round with a 304 and are sitting in 9th place through two rounds. Â Â

Bryce Howard led the way for the men today, shooting a two-over 74, improving on his play in round 1. He and
Roger Nakagawa are both tied for 30th with 151 strokes through their first two rounds after Nakagawa followed up his 72 with a 79 in the second round.
Joseph Vincent is right there with them, shooting a 76 in both rounds for a combined 152.
Lane Jensen and
Jake Francis are sitting at 44th and 45th after two rounds with 160 and 162 strokes.

Annika Schooler bounced back from an unusual 11-over outing in round one to post a 5-over 77. She paced the team in round two and sits in a tie for 26th overall.
Rianna Garland continue to stay near the top of the leaderboard after shooting +9 in the second round to stick in the top-15 overall after a school record 74 in round one.
Mya Maxwell also had a nice round two, carding an 8-over 80 to keep herself in the top-50.
Julia Sabetti sits just outside the top-50 after posting a two-round total of 174.
Jessalyn Shipp rounds out the team and improved on her first round, shooting a 92 in round two.

As a team, the women are sitting in 9th place overall with potential to move up with a good final round on Tuesday. Â

The third and final round will take place tomorrow with both the men and women expected to tee of around 2:30 p.m. MT.
