LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- The South Dakota Mines Golf teams continued to play well on Day 2 of the Warrior Invitational with the men finishing in the top half of a 16-team field and the women wrapping up with a top-5 finish as a team.

The women's golfers improved on their solid day 1, shooting a 337 for a two-round total of 683 and a fourth-place finish.
Â
Annika Schooler improved upon her impressive first round, shooting a 6-over 78 to finish the tournament in a tie for second with a two-day total of 158.
Rianna Garland also shot well throughout, finishing 6th with a two-day total of 164. A third top-20 performer for the Hardrockers was
Mya Maxwell, who shot an 89 to finish with a 177.
Jessalyn Shipp and
Lora Ortega rounded out the team, finishing in 26th and 34th, shooting a184 and 203.
Portia Lenczowski and
Julia Sabetti playing as individuals finished in 31st and 32nd, shooting 189 and 191.

The Hardrocker men shot an identical 308 on Round 2 and Round 1, finishing in a tie for 8th among 16 teams.

Bryce Howard and
Joseph Vincent tied for the team lead with two-round scores of 152 to finish in a tie for 24th.
Jake Francis was hot in round two, carding a 74 to finish with a 154.
Lane Jensen and
Roger Nakagawa rounded out the team, shooting 158 and 177. Playing as individuals,
Brett Elkin,
Braydon Jones, and
Carson McDaniel shot 161, 163, and 166.

Next weekend the Hardrockers head to Oklahoma to play in the Oak Tree Invitational at Oak Tree National hosted by Oklahoma Christian University.
