EDMOND, Ok. --- After struggling in the first 18 yesterday, there was a lot of ground to cover up but the South Dakota Mines golf team finished with a solid second 18 on Monday and another solid round to close out the tournament on Tuesday.
Â
Bryce Howard closed out the tournament with another solid 18-holes, shooting a 71. He was joined by teammates
Jake Francis,
Joseph Vincent,
Roger Nakagawa shooting 77, 78, and 83 as the counting scores.
Lane Jensen shot a 91 on the day. As a team, the Hardrockers finished in 14th mainly due to that tough first 18-holes. In round 1, as a team, they shot 315 but followed up with a 306 and a 309 to close things out.
Â
The men now have a couple of weeks off before hosting the Hardrocker Spring Invitational at Arrowhead Country Club. The women, meanwhile, will get back at it next week as they head to Colorado to participate in the Pack Classic hosted by CSU Pueblo.
