PUEBLO, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines men's golf team finished the Colorado State Pueblo Sam Proal Farmers Insurance Invitational in 11
th place after the third and final round Tuesday afternoon at Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Hardrockers tallied a three-round team score of 880 over the two-day event. The tournament was suspended Monday due to darkness, and resumed Tuesday morning concluding the second round and then finishing the third and final round Tuesday afternoon.
CSU Pueblo won the team title with a 54-hole score of 836, Texas A&M took second place with 841 and Colorado School of Mines tied with Hutchinson Community College for third place each carding 847 strokes.
Jamie Roberts of CSUP won the individual title, leading wire-to-wire, and finishing with a three-round total of 204. Texas A&M teammates Ryan Staykov and Hunter McDonough tied for second place each posting 206's and Oredigger Tim Amundson secured fourth with a 208.
Joseph Vincent brought in the lowest score for the Hardrockers with a 216 and a share of 26
th place while
Bryce Howard was a stroke back and tied for 29
th place with a 217.
Lane Jensen carded a 222 for a share of 42
nd place,
Walker Scott tied for 46
th place with
Roger Nakagawa each posting scores of 224 and
Supawich Boonta registered a score of 233 for a share of 58
th place.
