Ross Pfeifle

    Volunteer Assistant Pole Vault Coach
Coach Pfeifle, a native of Rapid City, is in his fifth year as the Hardrockers assistant pole vault coach.  Ross began his pole vaulting career at Rapid City Stevens.Collegiately, he competed at Northern State University (Aberdeen, S.D.) where he placed in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor and Outdoor Conference Championships all four years, hit NCAA national qualifying marks and currently holds the NSU indoor school record in the event at 15-9.

Academically, Pfeifle earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology (2009) and a master's of science in health, P.E., coaching (2011). While completing his master's at NSU, Pfefle was a graduate assistant who coached the Wolves first 16-foot pole vaulter and attended the Women's National Meet with a vaulter who jumped over 12-9.

Pfeifle currently works at Rapid City Regional Hospital as a registered sleep technician.
