BILLINGS, Mont. --- The South Dakota Mines Cross Country teams participated in the Women's 5k and Men's 8k at MSU Billings on Friday afternoon.

The Men finished in second place, taking home 56 points with
Tyler Captain posting a time of 25:06.4 to take fourth place overall.
Zach Hentschel also posted a good performance, finishing in 12
th with a time of 25:53.1.
Brett Flerchinger and
Owen Hansmann also recorded top-20 finishes, while Joran Lamoreau finished just outside the top-20 with a 22
nd place finish. They ran in times of 25:53.1, 26:06.5 and 26:34.4.

On the women's side, the Hardrockers finished in fourth, with several women performing well.
Clare Fischer the true freshman continues to impress as she took eighth, finishing in a time of 18:54.3.
Abbie Saline finished in 11
th (19:14.7) and
Kat Tvrdy took 13th with a time of 19:24.4.
Lillian Knudtson finished in 24
th with a time of 19:58.2.

Looking Ahead
The Hardrockers have next weekend off, and then the season starts to pick up as they go to UCCS and the RMAC Championships are the next weekend.
