PUEBLO, Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's golf team finished up play Tuesday during the final round of the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Men's Golf Invite at Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Hardrockers posted a score of 308 in the final team standings and tallied 913 strokes over the three-round event to take 13th place. New Mexico Junior College won the team title with 865 strokes while CSU-Pueblo and Colorado School of Mines tied for second place, each carding scores of 869.
Individually, Andrew Ni of CSUP was the overall medalist with a 54-hole score of 205. Liam Duncan of Nex Mexico JC earned second with a 206 and teammate Magnus Lomholt took third with 210 strokes.
SD Mines top finisher was
Jake Francis who finished with a two-over-par 216 (71-71-76) and tied.
Bryce Howard took a share of 28th place carding a 224 (76-71-77) to finish eight-over-par.
As for the rest of the 'Rocker squad:
Lane Jensen tied for 54th place with a 233 (75-83-75);
Garret Hohn came in with a 241 (77-83-81) to take 62nd;
Roger Nakagawa posted a 242 (82-80-80) to finish 63; and
Alex Lesselyoung was two spots back in 65th position with a 246 (82-79-85). Â
