The South Dakota School of Mines volleyball team lost to Black Hills State in three straight sets on Tuesday night in Spearfish, SD, 12-25,19-25, 21-25. 
 

The Yellow Jackets were able to post 45 kills on 112 attempts, good for a .259 hitting percentage on the night. The Yellow Jackets ran a well balanced offense in the three set match as outside hitter Kindra Cerrone posted 13 kills, right side hitter Sierra Ward posted 9, and middle blocker Mariah Robinson tallied 8.  Peyton Bodemann posted a match high 7 blocks which restricted the Hardrockers from scoring. 

 

The Hardrockers posted 30 kills on 115 attempts. Dana Thomson led all hitters with 16 kills while hitting .375 in the match.  Libero Anna Thomas tallied a team high 13 digs. 
 

The Hardrockers will be back in action on Friday night in Rapid City, SD as they take on RMAC foe Chadron State College at 7pm.
